Local star Franklin Calleja, together with Jessika, is among the 11 international participants trying their luck to represent San Marino at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. The national selection is being produced by UK-based 1in360, who together with the Sanmarinese Eurovision Delegation are meticulously picking the right singer for the contest.
During the finals in San Marino, power-house Franklin Calleja will be singing Stay a song penned by Austrian singer-songwriter Zoë, who represented her homeland Austria successfully in 2016 Loin d’Ici. Franklin Calleja performed Stay during the second preliminary heat. He received very good feedback from all four members of jury with the San Marino’s Head of Delegated stating on camera, ‘It’s time for him to move (out of Malta)’.
In the finals, to be held on Saturday 3rd March, Stay will also be interpreted by two more competitors, Judah Gavra and Basti.
